The InboxDollars Review- Can You Really Make Money Watching Videos??

The first week of the month is always the hardest because that’s when your mortgage or rent is due. Whenever you’re tight on cash and need money fast, there are two options…

1. Sell your stuff.

2. Consider prostitution/selling drugs.

As entertaining as it is to watch Narcos, I truly hope no one ever considers the second option… there’s always a way. Unfortunately, it’s gonna take hustle and creativity.

If you read ThePennyHoarderlike I do, then you’ll find that several of their posts recommend watching videos and filling out surveys to make some extra cash, so I decided to try one of these out.

After a week of using InboxDollars, I’m ready to share my results. The InboxDollars review I’ve crafted is going to help you determine if this is going to be a tool that aids you on your Millionaire Quest.

What is InboxDollars?

InboxDollars is nothing more than a sponsored CPA site. This means you get compensated for the actions you take; CPA stands for Cost Per Action.

This can range from watching videos, taking surveys or opening emails; hence the name of the site, InboxDollars.

In a nutshell, InboxDollars is a website where anyone can sign up and make money from the comfort of their couch, toilet, or bed thanks to the app you can use on your phone.

How You Make Money

I should start off by saying that InboxDollars is one of the few survey sites that actually compensates you

with money instead of gift cards or imaginary currency.

Once you sign up for InboxDollars and confirm your email, you automatically credited with $5 to motivate you keep earning. There’s also an incentive to complete 7 tasks during your first 7 days to receive a bonus; so make sure you jump on that as well. The minimum threshold to cash out is $30 so once you get started, so you only need to earn $25 to get your first paycheck!

InboxDollars pays you in the form of a paycheck or gift cards. The gift cards you can choose from are Walmart, Amazon, Target, or Visa.

There are several ways for you to make money with InboxDollars, the key is to obviously complete the tasks with the highest compensation.

Open Emails

The basis of this website is that they pay you to open emails and such. Every day, InboxDollars will send you several emails for new offers and ways to make some extra cash. For every email you open and confirm, you get paid, so make sure you keep an eye out for them. Every little bit counts!

Special Offers and Surveys

Inside these emails you receive, you will notice that some include special offers for you to enjoy and surveys to fill out to make some money. Some special offers include signing up for different credit cards, monthly subscription sites like Gamefly, and Lyft.

Some of these offers are 100% free, there are some that include free trials, and there’s some that you have to pay for out of pocket from the beginning.

To me these aren’t worth my time because the point of all this is to make money, not spend it.

Now let’s talk about surveys. This is gonna be the most frustrating part of the InboxDollars review. Surveys are never fun; which is why we never fill out the ones in the back of our receipts.

When it comes to the surveys available on InboxDollars, you first have to qualify in order to complete them and get compensated. Unfortunately, you probably won’t qualify for most of them. In the last week that I’ve been doing InboxDollars, I haven’t qualified for a single survey.

To be fair though, I only tried to fill out like 5.

But like I said, they’re time consuming even just to qualify… imagine how long it would’ve taken me to actually fill them out to completion. Plus, the compensation is pretty low, so they’re not worth my time.

20 minutes of my opinion for $1? I’ll pass.

Games, Videos, and Scratch and Win

I think my favorite part of the InboxDollars review process is that I got to play several Scratch- Offs. In order to play the scratch- offs, you have to meet 3 different thresholds to qualify for higher payouts. It’s obviously a lottery game, so the higher the risk, the higher the reward. There’s a bar that gets filled when you watch a certain amount of videos at the top of your dashboard; you can win up to $10, $25, or $100.

Don’t get your hopes up, so far the most I’ve won is 8 cents!

I haven’t played any of the games, but they’re your typical casino games. Some are free to play and some you actually have to pay for. Once again, there’s no point in paying to play a game that’s gonna compensate me.

The videos consist of random content I will probably never ever see again in my life; and some are just plain ads. My secret is to just leave the video player running on my laptop on mute, and then I just go about my day. You can try this method, but you do have to check in from time to time otherwise InboxDollars will think you’re not watching.

What I Liked

The purpose of the InboxDollars review is to save you some time and answer your questions. Here’s what I liked about InboxDollars and why you might want to check it out.

  • It’s free. Just make sure to stay away from the paid offers.
  • They have a referral program so for every person you refer, you earn 10% off every $1 they earn.
  • You get a $5 bonus for signing up. Get your $5 bonus here!
  • My favorite part is of course the scratch games… they truly are fun!

What I Didn’t Like

Because this isn’t a busines opportunity or actual job, there’s not much money to be made. It’s more of a McDonald’s and extra money for gas kind of deal if you ask me. The $30 minimum threshold might sound like it’s easy to reach, but I assure you, it isn’t. I’ve been doing InboxDollars for a little over a week and I’ve barely made $7!!!

And remember that 5 of those dollars I got just for signing up!

So here’s what I didn’t like.

  • Low compensation. Making 2 cents for watching a 1 minute video is not worth my time. Most payouts are less than 25 cents.
  • Filling out surveys is where the money’s at, but they’re boring, and you won’t qualify for most of them.
  • Most of the offers require you to enter your credit card info, which I’m obviously not comfortable sharing with anyone; and neither should you.
  • It’s a job/hobby. If you don’t play games or watch videos, you won’t make money. Keep your day job and just work on InboxDollars at work when you’re bored.

Recap

We’ve come to the end of the InboxDollars review I’ve crafted for you. Honestly, it’s not a scam, but it’s not for me. Making peanuts is not gonna help me on My Millionaire Quest, and it’s not gonna help you either.

If you’re bored on the toilet though, by all means give it a try.

My recommendation is to start your very own affilate marketing business online. If you work at it and are persistent, you can build a passive income and eventually quit your job.

  1. This is a great review. I am glad I read it because I have seen this before and was tempted to sign up for it to enhance another business I am in. In other words I thought perhaps I could use the income from this to cover advertising costs. But, it appears it wouldn’t be enough for that. Again, thanks so much for the review. Is the affiliate marketing business you suggest work for you and how do you like it so far?

    1. Woah… I’m glad you ran across this review then. Your business would’ve suffered tremendously trying to scale it with pennies. LOL
If you have some extra time, I suggest driving for Uber to cover your ad costs. As far as affiliate marketing goes, it’s a journey that I’m truly enjoying. My favorite part is earning commissions from work I did months ago!
